Highlights from Wednesday’s Agenda

Waikato Regional Council Aquaculture Strategy
While Raglan currently has no active aquaculture operations, a spat-catching application is underway. The Waikato District Council (WDC) may be considered an affected party if the Waikato Regional Council (WRC) notifies the application.

Wainui Bush Park
Consultation with Dirk De Ruysscher has confirmed further signage installation for the cycle access track, planned for the coming month.

Wi Neera South End Walkway
Plans (included twice) show a widened footpath and railing to the footbridge. Cycling is not mentioned.

Sewage
Drop-in session: Tuesday, 3 December, 3:30–7 PM at Wainui Reserve car park. Proposed discharge to a gully at Wainui Reserve is undergoing final testing.

WRC Long-Term Plan Engagement
Verbal update, with a regional public transport rate leaflet.

Manu Bay Breakwater
Concerns raised with infrastructure regarding Health and Safety risks of current “do-nothing” advice from Parks and Reserves.

Civil Defence
A meeting in December will establish a team of community volunteers.

Alcohol Ban Submissions
Submissions on extending the alcohol ban area and dates close on 8 December.

Soundsplash Approval
Sign-off expected in early to mid-December, following approval of the special licence.

CCTV Development
Next steps include completing a detailed design.

Adaptive Management – Papahua Erosion
Ongoing discussions on natural hazard management using Dynamic Adaptive Pathways Planning (DAPP).

Greenslade Rd Reserve Playground
Local residents will be consulted before finalising the conceptual design.
