For our graph we have combined new daily cases numbers in Hamilton City, Raglan and other Waikato District areas (e.g. Tamahere, Whatawhata, Ngaruawahia, Huntly and Gordonton).
Starting from a high level of over 1200 daily cases in early March, the numbers plateaued at about 1000 then began to slowly drop down to just over half the peak to 785 on 25th March and then tracked at about 200 a day in early May. Since then, new cases numbers have been trending towards 400 a day.
There are 530 new cases reported in the Waikato DHB area on Friday 27th May.
