With their new clinic on Wallis St Breakthrough Osteopathy is sending a big thankyou to the Raglan Community
In Council news Whaingaroa Councillor Lisa Thomson is inviting the community to the Raglan Community Board meeting on Wednesday at 1.30pm in the town hall supper room to hear about Waikato District Council’s Long term spending plan. With a lot of pressure on rates and the government’s rates cap due to be introduced next year, the council is preparing to reduce some of their services.
Although there is a lot more work to be done Councillor Thomson will give an update on progress but also says she wants to hear from the community about what matters most to them.
The open forum is from 1.30 to 2pm with the presentation starting at 2pm.
The Raglan Roosters Football Team registered a win in their match on Sunday, Unfortunately it’s not a classic underdog story as they won by default. The Roosters have gone winless since the second match of the year and have racked up a goal difference of negative 50, which has improved by 2 points thanks to the default. This may or may not be a record but, by way of comparison, the second worst goal difference in the ten team competition was negative 12. This result still leaves them last on the Division One table.
Rules are unclear on the Sunday League website but it’s believed they will be relegated to a lower division next year.
Because of the default the Roosters have organised a three team competition for next Saturday at Papahua at 11am so they can wrap up the season properly – and also get a win.
